History

Oakleigh Cannons FC

Oakleigh Cannons will look to add a third Senol NPLM Victoria Championship this decade, having previously lifted the trophy in 2022 and 2024 under highly esteemed head coach Chris Taylor.

The 2026 Premiers will now look to complete an iconic double and continue their remarkable two-year Championship cycle.

Avondale FC

Avondale have been one of NPL Victoria’s dominant sides this decade, collecting a Dockerty Cup, two Premierships and a Championship along the way.

Their last Championship came in 2023, when they completed the Premiership and Championship double while breaking the all-time goalscoring record. After a number of key departures since then, the Avengers will be determined to show they are still among the competition’s best and add another Championship to their trophy cabinet.

Led by legendary striker Bruno Fornaroli, Avondale have shown throughout the season that they have what it takes to contend. Can they finish the job and reclaim the Championship?
