Bashley FC

Bashley Football Club, established in 1947, quickly found its stride after joining the Bournemouth League in 1950 and the Hampshire League in 1983, where they became Division Three champions in 1984–85. A pivotal moment arrived with their role as a founder member of the Wessex League in 1986, where they secured three consecutive league titles from 1986–87 to 1988–89. This period also saw them make a memorable run to the FA Vase semi-finals in 1987–88, drawing a club-record attendance of 3,500 for their home leg. Their consistent success led to promotion to the Southern League's South Division in 1989.

Bashley's impressive momentum continued in the Southern League, where they won the South Division in their first season, earning promotion to the Premier Division. The club also made history in the 1994–95 FA Cup, advancing to the second round after defeating Chesham United. After a brief stint in the Isthmian League, Bashley returned to the Southern League's Division One South & West, triumphing in their initial season and moving up to the Premier Division. The following season, they achieved a fifth-place finish in the Premier Division, qualifying for the promotion play-offs.
